Abstract

Objective: Describe the scope of public investment programs in our country aimed at the population belonging to the age group called "early childhood" and that seek to develop their intellectual, communicative, motor and affective capacities, with optimal care in health and nutrition, in safe and quality environments in the context where they are developed. Materials and methods: The systematization of research published in journals such as Scopus, Redalyc and organizations such as UNESCO, OREALC, UNICEF, OAS and MIDIS was carried out. The research is of a quantitative-descriptive type, with a non-experimental design. Results: Peru has many times
been a pioneer in the region in terms of early childhood care and protection programs. It currently has various programs to encourage child development and a tool for measuring investment in childhood. Likewise, within the framework of regional improvement, it assumes commitments in the face of the problem that still needs to be resolved. Conclusion: The Peruvian State has made multiple efforts to make a correct investment in early childhood. It is necessary to continue designing, improving and implementing state policies for this purpose.
