Exporting cocoa in times of the COVID 19 pandemic and its impact on the value chain

Abstract

This article provides an overview of the impact of the health emergency on the value chain and exports of the cocoa sector in Ecuador during the course of the year 2020. Although Ecuador has been considered one of the main producers and exporters of cocoa in the world, with vast recognition and prestige, it has been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, which has impacted all economic activities at the international level.
