Abstract

This literature review article addresses as an objective to determine how the implementation of audiovisual resourcescould optimize the management of the quality of mathematics teaching, reducing the time invested in the development of certain traditional skills, in order to focus on the development
of concepts and notions on how to solve problems. This change in methodology, together with the review of information, grants the involvement
and participation of students in the development of concepts and fulfill through experimentation, their own mathematical discoveries. However, we must bear in mind that technologies, in themselves, do not solve the problem of teaching, moreover, they can originate new ones. As any innovative tool, everything depends on the use that is given to them and the benefits that are sought to guarantee. Initially, some references related to the topic are raised. The method used for the study is described later, it is constituted by the literature review of the subject with a descriptive methodological point of view, and finally it is concluded that technological development in a virtual learning environment has become an emerging technology that supports teaching, extending traditional classrooms beyond classroom
